The Struggle

I consider myself a digital artist, but I love traditional mediums as well. It was pretty hard to get to this point. I started drawing at a late age and I had to play catch up with everyone who had started art when they were young. I even quit learning art for several years before coming back. Its been really stressful, but I’m happy where I’m at now.

Art School

Learned to draw in a little art studio. They taught me all the basics immediately. I felt I was lucky enough to have instruction immediately and wasn’t having to do as much trial an error. I learned fun and easy things to draw. Since that time though, that art instruction is available online. I wish I had the resources that are so available right now to new artists. Its a great time to be an artist.

You Can Draw

I learned to draw at such a late age. I didn’t have any experience before then, I didn’t doodle. I started as a really bad artist immediately and, even with instruction, had to put in the drawing time to improve. Drawing whatever is in your mind’s eye is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever experienced And I know for a fact you can have this for yourself, no matter who you are.

Bring Your Ideas to Life

I consider myself fortunate to have found what I love to do in life. Having the ability to make my own logos, t-shirts, and comics, is a huge advantage. Knowing the ins and outs of a craft you love is something to admire. If you have an idea that you want brought to life, you have the ability inside you, you just have to practice. And when I mean practice, I mean practice the proper way. Which can be found here.

To sum it up…

I’m an artist and really passionate about video game art, anime, and comic art. My art journey started with my wanting to become a 3D artist. I had heard the best way to learn 3D art was to become good at drawing. Once I was learning the drawing process, I got addicted to it. it was probably one of the greatest experiences I had felt. being able to use my creativity pushed my art skills forward.

I took that creativity into my first job being a caricature artist in a theme park. It was a great way to hone my cartoon skills. This experience led me to work on movies like Transformers 3 and The Smurfs as a Stereo Artist with their proprietary software. I got obsessed with doing local art shows and becoming a vendor at art conventions. In between, I took my skills to make logos, thirty designs, card designs, book covers, and everything in between.

I’ve worked with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, and more digital artist tools. My love for the pencil, pen, ink, and colors is also still vibrant. I hope to bring that knowledge to you here in this blog.

Thanks for being here, and I hope you enjoy the tools and resources for you here.
